To feed cattle profitably, depend on a Newhouse C2500 Big Bale Chopper! It enables you to convert eight to ten tons of baled hay per hour into cattle pleasing feed. The powerful chopping action works with either
(large) ton, midsize, or small bales.

| The Chopper features one large cutter head (56" x 53") mounted on 2-15/16" keyed shaft with a large taper locked bushing. The shaft runs on extra heavy, double-tapered roller bearings. Heavy belting material is used around the entrance to the chopper chamber to stop flying materials for operator safety. The cutter
knives mount to special mounting blocks with a single 3/8" bolt, making blade change quick and simple. |

Six individual drag chain take-up sprockets are all steel with 1" sealed ball bearings. The mounting brackets are constructed of heavy steel and 1" take-up bolts.
Years of experience have proven it necessary to make this unit very rugged to withstand the stress of reversing the chain direction.
All main drive shafts are made of 1-3/4" alloy material. The overrunning clutch and slip clutch on the main drive shaft are covered by a hinged safety shield for easy service access when servicing. A permanently mounted swing up mechanical jack is used for easy hook-up.
