Mint Root Planter

Newhouse Mint Root Planters are a valuable addition to your mint handling equipment. Two models are available; the 16 foot single-axle model, and the 20 foot tandem axle unit. The combination of mechanical and engineering features results in planters that have a record of good, even mint distribution. Features: Extra heavy duty gear boxes and drive trains throughout. Spring loaded hold-down pads facilitate even root planting. Heavy duty drag chains. Four-point adjustment on drag chains. Adjustable axles for changing row planting widths. Weld-on teeth on the picker bars are of tempered plow steel. Heavy duty furrower shovels open and close the furrows. Front and rear tool bars are actuated by separate hydraulic cylinders and can be vertically adjusted to various planting depth and coverage. Optional row planting widths are available: four-row widths are 30", 32" or 34" wide. Five-row choices are 22" or 24" wide. The six-row option is set for 20". Changing the plant hoppers is a simple task.
